The National State of Emergency has practically been in effect since mid March. Abinader sent the request to the Chamber of Deputies on Friday, 8 October 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Presidency says that the measures adopted under the state of emergency have allowed the country to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
