In the urban areas, the percentage is 10.2%, while in rural areas it is 14.2%, according to research carried out by the National Statistics Office (ONE), with the funding and technical assistance of the United Nations Children&#8217;s Fund (UNICEF). The research found that young women who start a family before the age of 18 usually have a low educational level, low earning capacity, and scant opportunities for social mobility.
