Before her appointment to the Abinader government, Taveras served as mayor of the small towns of La Guayiga and Pedro Brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The spokesperson for Finjus says no Dominican government officer is allowed by Procurement Law 340-06 (Article 14) to be a supplier to the state or to bid for a contract with the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, senator Alexis Victoria Yeb, the senator for Maria Trinidad S\u00e1nchez province, argued he is exempt from the ban because he is an exclusive pharmaceutical supplier.
