It will be about 8 kilometers long and 26 meters wide. The Ministry has allotted close to RD$2 billion for the construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ascensi\u00f3n made the announcement when touring the places where the new road is to be built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The road will benefit the neighborhoods located in the highly-populated Los Alcarrizos municipality. It will connect to Duarte Highway at Km 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ascenci\u00f3n says this is a project that has been in planning for more than 24 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announced ring road will work as an alternative route to the Duarte highway, the only access to the municipality of Los Alcarrizos.The Los Alcarrizos ring road will begin at the southern part of the Blanco bridge and end at the entrance of Km 14 of the Duarte highway, with four lanes distributed in a north-south direction.
