Former Attorney General Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez and Narciso Jos\u00e9 Esca\u00f1o Mart\u00ednez, interim head of the Specialized Prosecution for Administrative Corruption (Pepca) closed the case before leaving office. The definite filing of the case was revealed when a new Attorney General was named,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judge Vargas, who coordinates the investigative courts, appointed himself to hear the objection to the definitive filing after judge Keila P\u00e9rez Santana turned down the case. Judge Vargas is responding to opposition presented by the Fundaci\u00f3n Alianza Ciudadana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alianza Ciudadana requests that the court revoke the closing of the case and order Pepca to continue and expand the investigations taking into account the social impact of the Odebrecht bribes scandal crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closing of the case was ordered in September 2019 and favors Tem\u00edstocles Mont\u00e1s, Alfredo Pacheco, C\u00e9sar S\u00e1nchez, Bernardo Castellanos, Julio C\u00e9sar Valent\u00edn, M\u00e1ximo D&#8217; Oleo, Ruddy Gonz\u00e1lez and Radham\u00e9s Segura.
