The loss resulted in a triple tie between the Toros del Este, Aguilas Cibae\u00f1as and Gigantes del Cibao. The Gigantes had more runs and thus were allotted the first place of the regular round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tigres del Licey won their last game but were eliminated. The Estrellas Orientales and the Leones del Escogido now need to play a short series (3-2) to define the fourth team slot for the semifinals. The mini-series starts on Sunday, 27 December at the San Pedro de Macoris Tetelo Vargas Ball Park.
