The Central Bank reports that remittances reached a 10-year high with US$8.2 billion in 2020, a 16% increase over 2019. Dominican expats living in the United States sent 83.8% of the remittances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>December 2020 was a peak month for remittances.
