The labor spokesmen said if an agreement they would consider a general strike and could align themselves with transport unions. Meanwhile, business spokesmen called for a meeting with the National Salaries Commission, and that they are open to further talks. Labor spokesman Jacobo Ramos said the sector would hold to its demand for a 30% wage increase for all those making up to RD$30,000.
