Dominican poet, essayist and critic, Basilio Belliard, is named executive director for the council. Members are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maridalia Hern\u00e1ndez, representative of popular artists; Elsa N\u00fa\u00f1ez, representative of plastic artists; Juan Daniel Balc\u00e1cer, representative of the intellectual sector. Jos\u00e9 del Castillo Pichardo, representing cultural researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also Dar\u00edo Solano, representative of the cultural organizations; Iv\u00e1n Jos\u00e9 Silva Fern\u00e1ndez, representative of the provincial development councils; Manuel Jim\u00e9nez, representative of the municipal governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other members are Manuel Garc\u00eda Ar\u00e9valo, representative of the private business sector and Mar\u00eda Amalia Le\u00f3n, representative of the private cultural foundations.
