This program is in coordination with the National Council for the Elderly (Conape). Dr. Jose Garc\u00eda Ram\u00edrez, director of the council, was present for the start of vaccination of 200 elderly at the San Francisco de Asis Home in San Francisco de Macoris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phase I began with the vaccinating of all Covid-19 front line workers. It now continues with the aging in nursing homes, those 70+ and the medical staff. The Dominican Medical Association (CMD) encouraged doctors to get vaccinated at its headquarters in Santo Domingo from 8:30 to 4pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authorities announced that pre-school public school teachers are being vaccinated.
