Miguel Emilio Guti\u00e9rrez D\u00edaz (alias El Alem\u00e1n) is included in the case accused of the same charges of drug trafficking, as reported in El Dia. Others in the same case are brothers Endy de Jes\u00fas N\u00fa\u00f1ez M\u00e1rmol (alias El Fuerte) and Danny N\u00fa\u00f1ez M\u00e1rmol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>58-year old Guti\u00e9rrez D\u00edaz was arrested on Monday, 17 May 2021 when he arrived at Miami International Airport from the Dominican Republic. He is accused of being part of a transnational drug trafficking ring that operated in the Dominican Republic, Colombia and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guti\u00e9rrez D\u00edaz was elected deputy for the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) during the 7 July 2020 presidential and congressional election. When he was a pre-candidate, the Central Electoral Board (JCE) had alerted he did not abide with the requirement to present legal receipts for his campaign spending.
