El Caribe reporters say the lawmakers are playing a \u201cgame of legislative ping-pong\u201d and call for something to be done. Several attempts to get the legislation on the agenda have lapsed, usually after a year or so of \u201cstudy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the present time, the legislation is under consideration by a joint committee chaired by ruling party senator Faride Raful (PRM-National District). The legislation is aimed at controlling land use for such things as housing developments or schools and hospitals and farmlands.
