Capell\u00e1n understands that the measure is legal because the Labor Code and the Constitution give prevalence to the collective good over individual beliefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local business people, academics, lawyers and government officers at all levels have been discussing whether Dominicans can be obligated to get vaccinated for Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the talk show, TV host Mariasela Alvarez argued that what is at stake is that the country reach herd immunity to return to normalcy. For this, 70% of the population needs to receive the two doses of the vaccine. Around 20% of the country has already received the vaccine. The VacunateRD stats for 7 June indicate: 4,090,092 persons have received at least a first dose and 1,562,041 have received the two doses.
