A flurry over a private internet exchange involving prominent psychologist Ana Sim\u00f3 and her colleagues has caused several lawyers to look into the Whatsapp issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Dominican Constitution, privacy is a right, and without the consent of the parties involved, any private conversation, may not be made public. Nowadays private conversations include Whatsapp, Tweeter and other electronic media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The penalties, under Article 377 of the Penal Code can be up to a year in prison and fines of up to RD$50,000.
