As reported in El Dia, revenues reached RD$409.85 billion, up RD$82.56 billion, corresponding to 43.3% compared to 2020. Total spending was RD$403.19 billion. The government has executed 45.2% of the approved National Budget. 93% of the budget is current expenditures, or RD$376.45 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government reported RD$85.96 billion for education sector, RD$56.92 billion for the health sector, RD$53.65 billion for social protection; RD$7.95 billion for housing and community services, and RD$2.5 billion for sports, recreational and cultural activities. The government paid RD$88.38 billion in interest on public debt and RD$64.62 billion in general services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Executive Branch concentrated 66.9% of the expenditure, being the Ministry of Education (RD84.57 billion), the Ministry of Health (RD$62.78 billion) and the Presidency of the Republic (RD$35.46 billion) the departments with the highest spending.
