The exhibition has the backing of the International Migration Organization and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The UN agency highlights that thousands of Dominicans had migrated to Venezuela seeking refuge from the Trujillo regime<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Venezuelan photographers Francesco Spotorno and Juan Carlos Gonzalez share their experiences in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An estimated 100,000 Venezuelans have migrated here in recent years, fleeing the political, social and economic unrest in Venezuela. This summer the Dominican government authorized a window for illegal Venezuelans to become temporary legal residents despite not being able to present the full documentation required.
