The countries agreed by consensus to create the Ibero-American Epidemiological Observatory whose mission is to coordinate and strengthen the region&#8217;s existing epidemiological networks and capacities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal for Latin America is for 40% of the population to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 by the end of the year, says Marcos Pinta Gama, spokesman for the Iberoamerican General Health Secretariat (Segib).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Dominican Republic upwards of 60% of the population is fully vaccinated.
