{"id":167502,"date":"2021-11-02T09:23:03","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T13:23:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/wordpress\/?p=167502"},"modified":"2021-11-02T10:52:26","modified_gmt":"2021-11-02T14:52:26","slug":"alicia-ortega-victoria-yeb-is-major-government-supplier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/2021\/11\/02\/alicia-ortega-victoria-yeb-is-major-government-supplier\/","title":{"rendered":"Alicia Ortega: Victoria Yeb is major government supplier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"192\" src=\"https:\/\/dr1.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Alexis-Victoria-Yeb-Twitter-e1635864652502.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167541\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigative journalist Alicia Ortega denounced during her Monday, 1 November report, that businesses related to senator Alexis Victoria Yeb (PRM-Maria Trinidad S\u00e1nchez) have carried out transactions for RD$500 million with the Dominican government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Victoria Yeb is the same senator who has led a movement in the Senate that drafted a bill that would remove tax exemptions and perks received by the senators from other government officers and private business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Alicia Ortega revealed that the company Cristalia Dominicana S.A., with ties to the senator, and Drodena S.A., listed in his sworn statement of assets, have sold more than US$516.5 million in pharmaceutical and medical products to the government since the legislator took office on 16 August 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alicia Ortega revealed this Monday, 1 November 2021 that Cristalia Dominicana from August to December 2020 sold more than RD$7.2 million sold to the state, while in the 10 months of this year the company won public contracting procedures for RD$470.5 million pesos.
