He defeated Finnish fighter Arslan Khataev by split decision 4-1 at the Stark Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. De la Cruz competes in the lightweight 60 kg category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, for the bronze medal he had defeated Kenya Olympian Nicholas &#8220;Commander&#8221; Okoth who surrendered 5-0 at the Stark Arena in Belgrade, Serbia on 3 November 2021.<br>The 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships are being held in Belgrade, Serbia from 25 October to 6 November.<br>For the first time in AIBA&#8217;s 75-year history, medal winners are awarded prize money; gold medallists earn $100,000, silver medallists $50,000, and bronze medallists $25,000.
