Dr. Rivera says patients are arriving with serious pulmonary issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Public Health report #595 indicates 28% of Covid-19 hospital beds are occupied (639 of 2,266 total available), and 45% of the intensive care units for Covid-19 are taken (263 of 587). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Public Health Coronavirus Bulletin #595 reports 973 new cases, up from 891 on the previous day. The Ministry of Public Health\u2019s Epidemiology Department Coronavirus Bulletin #595 reports active Covid-cases are 4,458 down (-399) of the prior day. The number of active cases is considerably less than the peak of 55,773 active cases registered in July 2021, and is evidence the vaccines are working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister of Public Health says that 76% of the population has at least a first vaccine and 62% has two doses. He said 850,000 more persons need to be vaccinated to reach 70% of the population. The VacunateRD government website reports injecting 6,760,871 first doses of the vaccine and 5,359,699 second doses for the 3 November 2021 vaccination deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of the Pneumology Society, Dr. Evangelina Soler says that those affected by Covid that have three doses are only slightly ill with few symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More efforts are needed to get more people to get the Covid-19 vaccines. The daily number of vaccines administered has been gradually declining after the peak of 83,745 doses for the 22 October deadline, up from 20,797 vaccines applied on 30 September 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the 3 November deadline, Our World in Data reports that 22,977 first and second dose vaccines were applied, a significant decline from mid-October when more than 80,000 vaccines were being applied. The record vaccinations for one day was 184,208 on 10 June 2021.
