The National Drug Control Agency reports that new machine-readable identification cards are being issued to its staff. The DNCD had not renewed the IDs since 2006. An internal audit precedes the card renewals. The objective is to control, analyze, evaluate and improve the efficiency of the staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new identification cards include fingerprint, UV ribbon, QR code, proximity card, among other security mechanisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The change of the document is part of the process of control of members and the strengthening of institutional improvements, says a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new security mechanisms adapt the card to the new times that demand the use of modern technologies for enhanced security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of the DNCD, Vice Admiral Jose M.
