Aniova Prandy is the winner of the Grand Prize, for her work \u201cThe Sugar Maafa\u201d. She received a cash award of RD$1 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other winners are Carlos Despradel, Juan Carlos Guzm\u00e1n, Guadalupe Casasnovas, Leonardo Dur\u00e1n, Dustin Mu\u00f1oz, Mari Carmen Orizondo, Juan Grisanty, Elvin D\u00edaz and Nathalie Landestoy who received cash awards of RD$300,000 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honorary mentions were handed to Cromcin Dom\u00ednguez, Ricardo Arsenio Toribio, Ottmar Suero Javier, Genaro Reyes (Cayuco) and Johnny Bonnelly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection jury this year was made up by Amable Sterling, Plinio Chah\u00edn and Puerto Rican Irene Esteves.
