Four of the 12 accused in the Operation Coral 5G administrative corruption case have become the new “Girones” of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, N Digital reports. Major Raul Alejandro Giron Jimenez was the first to tell all during the arraignment of several high ranking military for the opening of the Coral Operation case, the first part of the Operation Coral 5G.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N Digital reminds readers that Major Ra\u00fal Alejandro Gir\u00f3n Jim\u00e9nez testified and exposed the modus operandi of the Coral case, where Army Major General Ad\u00e1n C\u00e1ceres (head of the Specialized Presidential Security Corps -Cusep) now faces corruption charges. “I am not going to stand here to defend lies. I am in total agreement with all the statements made by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. I am not going to lie anymore”, were Gir\u00f3n’s words that started the extreme twist to the Coral Case and uncovered the alleged military corruption in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N Digital now reports on the new whistleblowers that are providing key information to prosecute the administrative corruption crimes under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N Digital reports that lieutenant colonel Erasmo P\u00e9rez Ni\u00f1ez, colonel Miguel Ventura Pichardo, C\u00e9sar Ramos Ovalles and first lieutenant Jehohanan Luc\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez have been collaborating with the prosecutors. They are getting house arrest instead of preventive jail rulings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four have admitted their actions, although they have not provided statements of the scheme directly or of others involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the four “Girones” of Coral 5G accused of?
According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, First Lieutenant Jehohanan Rodr\u00edguez is accused of having unjustifiable wealth and possessing properties in her name that actually belong to the accused in the Operation Coral, N\u00fa\u00f1ez de Aza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colonel Erasmo P\u00e9rez also could not prove the relationship between his regular income and assets in his name. He served at the Specialized Presidential Security Corps (Cusep) since 2012, arriving with the co-charged Ad\u00e1n C\u00e1ceres Silvestre. He is regarded as one of the trusted aides to C\u00e1ceres Silvestre and had under his responsibility the administration of several farms and farms located in the provinces of La Vega and Monte Plata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, C\u00e9sar F\u00e9lix Ramos Ovalles is accused by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of having an association with private companies to divert state funds, and of using companies to compete for government contract work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Miguel Ventura Pichardo was in charge of intelligence division at the Specialized Corps for Tourism Security (Cestur), where he is accused of diverting funds from the food rations destined to the state institution, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
