The 18-game round robin starts on Monday, 27 December 2021 with the Gigantes matching the Aguilas in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds at 7pm and the Licey matching the Estrellas Orientales in Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The four teams playing in the semi-finals are the Gigantes, Aguilas Cibae\u00f1as, Tigres del Licey and Estrellas Orientales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Dia newspaper called the Gigantes del Cibao the favorites to win the round robin.
