The amendments have been extensively debated but do not seem to be a priority in the Dominican Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are aware that electoral reforms are political decisions, but the leadership that decides them must understand and give priority to democracy and the development of its electoral system,&#8221; he stated.
