The agreement was signed by Edward Veras for CNE and Fernando Rodr\u00edguez Alfonso, for the local branch of the Spanish renewables company, Grupo Ecoener SAU. The concession is granted for 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CNE&#8217;s executive director Edward Veras said the progress report of the solar energy project shows construction of the solar park is at 60%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renewables account today for around 16% of the energy supply to the National Energy Grid System (SENI). Already, renewables (wind, solar, water and biomass) make up 23.32% of the installed power capacity.
