The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET) worked with the Ministry of Public Administration to avert the strike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pay raise will bring conductor wages from RD$38,000 to RD$44,000, depending on the employee&#8217;s position. The deal includes payment for back pay owed, overtime pay and the guarantee of no reprisals for worker activism.
