{"id":194169,"date":"2023-02-28T08:12:32","date_gmt":"2023-02-28T12:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/?p=194169"},"modified":"2023-02-28T09:53:24","modified_gmt":"2023-02-28T13:53:24","slug":"guatemala-now-requires-a-b-type-visa-for-travel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/2023\/02\/28\/guatemala-now-requires-a-b-type-visa-for-travel\/","title":{"rendered":"Guatemala now requires a \u201cB\u201d-type visa for travel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img src=\"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Visa-Guatemala-Revista-Mercado-1024x510.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-194244\" width=\"600\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of the influx of Dominicans who were found to be using Guatemala as a stopover to get to the southern border of the United States, the Guatemalan Migration Institute (IGM) is now requiring Dominicans who do not have special status, or a US, Canadian or Schengen visa to request a travel visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until January of this year, Dominicans were exempt from any visa requirements to travel to Guatemala, but now a visa issued by a consular agent is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Type B visa is now in order for Dominicans to enter that Central American nation.
