The Dominican Republic (ranked 9th by FIVB) ended its participation in the prestigious Women\u2019s Volleyball nations League (VNL) with 6 wins and 6 losses. The country did not make the cut for the second round of the top 16 women\u2019s team volleyball competition. The DR, nevertheless, had important wins in its final games against China (ranked 6th) and Serbia (ranked 4th). The Dominican team did well when going the final stretch, winning in the fifth game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final round of the VNL is scheduled to take place from 12 to 16 July in Arlington, Texas (USA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DR defeats Serbia 3-2 (25-22, 15-25, 25-23, 19-25, 10-15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30 June:
DR defeats China 3-2 (25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 20-25, 13-15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

29 June:
DR defeats Korea 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-16)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

27 June:
DR loses to Germany 3-1 (25-19, 25-81, 18-25, 25-21)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

18 June:
Turkey defeats DR 3-1: 23-25, 19-25, 25-23, 20-25<\/p>\n\n\n\n

17 June:
DR defeats Canada 3-2: 22-25, 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 15-10<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15 June:
Italy defeats DR 3-2: 16-25, 25-16, 25-21, 22-25, 10-15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 June:
Poland defeats DR 3-1: 23-25, 28-30, 25-23, 17-25<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 June:
DR defeats Netherlands 3-2: 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-11
Brazil defeats DR 3-1: 27-25, 20-25, 25-21, 27-25<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 June:
DR defeats Bulgaria 2-3: 25-22, 16-25, 25-16, 14-25, 11-15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30 May:
Japan defeats DR 3-1: 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first phase tournament standing ended: United States, Poland, Turkey, China, Japan, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Canada, Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Serbia, Bulgaria, Thailand, Croatia, Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DR women\u2019s team now travels to El Salvador to participate in the Central American and Caribbean Sports Games. The team\u2019s first clash will be on 4 July 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
