The Fundaci\u00f3n Sinfon\u00eda has invited the Carnegie Hall Youth Orchestra, NY02, for three performances for the first time in the country, making this a musical milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performances will be on Monday, 17 July 2023 at 8:30pm at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, Tuesday, 18 July 2023 at 6:30pm at the Gran Teatro del Cibao in Santiago and a chamber concert, open to the public, on Wednesday, 19 July 2023 at the Hemingway Club in Juan Dolio, in the beach town of San Pedro de Macor\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Composed of outstanding young American instrumentalists, NYO2 is an orchestral program that, together with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA) and NYO Jazz, comes together each summer to provide intensive training and performance opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Carnegie Hall Youth Orchestra allows participating musicians, ages 14 to 17, to work closely with top musicians from US orchestras and conservatories during a residency at Purchase College of the State University of New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This summer, conductor Joseph Young leads the 80-member orchestra on its first international residency and concert tour in the Dominican Republic. Jennifer Koh, a violinist renowned for her commitment, virtuosity and technique will be the guest soloist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
