This is more people than were carried in all of 2020, the start year of the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the numbers just released by the Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET), during the first six months of this year the Metro Lines 1 and 2 carried 25.6 million and 25.4 million passengers respectively, and the city\u2019sn two cablecars carried 1.8 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Programs to improve and expand the services of the Metro system have bolstered ridership, and now, the Line 2 often exceeds the number of passengers carried by the original Line 1.
