Rosa Rosa was a high ranking official in the Medina administration. He is married to also accused Carmen Magalys Medina S\u00e1nchez, sister to former President Danilo Medina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosa Rosa served as president of the Fondo Patrimonial de Empresas Reformadas (Fonper) that handled billions in resources from capitalized state enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court decided in favor of Rosa Rosa on the grounds that the later argued he could not afford the electronic shackle. Rosa Rosa had been authorized domiciliary arrest that judge Claribel Nivar maintained in the past hearing on the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court had already authorized in December 2022 the removal of the electronic locator to Magalys Medina Sanchez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Magalys-Medina-Sanchez-Acento.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-203419\" width=\"250\" height=\"364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Magalys-Medina-Sanchez-Acento.png 696w, https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Magalys-Medina-Sanchez-Acento-206x300.png 206w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The next hearing in the case is set for 11 September 2023.
