Tourism Minister David Collado highlighted the walk is dedicated to typical music. The new point of interest is a meeting point for locals and tourists. Collado explained it is part of the Ministry of Tourism&#8217;s outreach program to renovate public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pedestrian walk is 62 meters long and cost RD$9,450,000.82. The Executing Committee for Infrastructure of Tourist Zones (CEIZTUR) of the Ministry of Tourism carried out the construction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The path continues the new Cabrera boardwalk, connecting Lorenzo \u00c1lvarez Street to Duarte Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Collado expressed that small works like that make a difference. &#8220;For us, the most important thing is how our interventions impact the communities and increase the destination&#8217;s attractiveness,&#8221; said Collado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The work includes an access plaza, connecting the boardwalk and the path, and offers a viewpoint to house the fishermen in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Landscaping, lighting, equipping and urban art are part of the wall built to give privacy to the residents of the area and at the same time, a focal point in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, conditioning work was carried out on the adjacent homes, with exterior painting and the channeling of wastewater from the surrounding communities to a well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more in Spanish:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/presidencia.gob.do\/noticias\/ministro-de-turismo-inaugura-sendero-peatonal-en-cabrera\">Presidency <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 October 2023<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Those visiting the north coast can now include a stop at the new Tourist Pedestrian Walk in Cabrera, Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez.
