The ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) National Internal Election Committee announced that 33-year old Jesus Stalin Vasquez Marte, son of Minister of Interior & Police Chu Vasquez, is their candidate for senator for the province of Maria Trinidad Sanchez. Chu Vasquez is a former senator for the same province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vasquez Marte has a bachelor\u2019s degree in law from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). He was head of the Puerto Plata senatorial office from 2016-2020 and currently works as director of relations with the legislature and judicial branches on behalf of the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andres Guillermo Lama Perez (Guillermito Lama), nephew of Mario Lama, director of the National Health Services Agency (SNS) was chosen to be the senator for Bahoruco province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These two participated in the polls carried by Gallup Dominicana, Centro Econ\u00f3mico del Cibao and Ipsos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
