For the most part, tourists in the Punta Cana area were unaware there was a storm passing through the Dominican Republic. People living and staying in the area went about their normal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MikeFisher, who covers bad weather storms for DR1, reports on how practically nothing weatherwise was happening in Punta Cana in the DR1 Weather blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the damage was in the larger metropolitan areas where the intense construction has affected the drainage of the rain waters.
