But sportswriters understand the tournament&#8217;s second stage will be a battle between the capital city teams \u2013 the Escogido Lions and the Licey Tigers. The round-robin starts Wednesday, 27 December 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tigres del Licey, with 25 wins and 25 losses in the regular series, were the last to make the top four slots for the round-robin. They will be home club in the match against the Gigantes del Cibao (29-20) at the Julian Javier Stadium on 27 December.
