The Labor Code establishes 44 work hours, and now the pilot program participants will work 36 hours per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The six-month pilot program has the backing of the Ministry of Labor and the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra, which will be assisting with the analytics after the three-month test period ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The companies participating in the pilot program are: Claro (telecommunications), IMCA (heavy machinery), EGE Haina (energy), Senasa (health plan) and Sistema Unico de Beneficiarios (government welfare office). The companies&#8217; chosen employees will be monitored starting 1 February 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around 300 employees will be participating in the shortened work weeks plan over the initial three month period.
