The new sea route will connect Mayaguez and San Pedro de Macoris, a short drive from the Juan Dolio and La Romana beaches. This would be the second ferry connecting Mayaguez. There is already a Mayaguez-Santo Domingo ferry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bale\u00e0ria plans to invest 100 million dollars in the start-up. The country will benefit from the company\u2019s strategic innovation and sustainability. The company promises combined transport for passengers, vehicles and goods, with daily and reliable connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this public-private project, Bale\u00e0ria will build a multifunctional passenger terminal in the port of San Pedro de Macor\u00eds (Dominican Republic) and will adapt the existing facilities in the port of Mayag\u00fcez (Puerto Rico) to bring them up to European quality standards. Both terminals will have a gangway, finger jetty and a ramp to facilitate the loading and unloading of vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The governor of Puerto Rico, Pedro R.
