Abinader is running for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM). A 50%+1 of the valid votes are needed to win in a first round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the survey data, three-term former President Leonel Fernandez will be the runner up with 20.6% of the vote. The candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), the political party that ruled the DR from 1996-2000 and from 2004-2020, former Santiago Mayor and former Chamber of Deputies president Abel Mart\u00ednez Dur\u00e1n, will get 9% of the vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cibao Economic Center said that 3.6% of the likely voters were still undecided about who to vote for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of the Centro Economico del Cibao is Leonardo Aguilera, currently the president of the Dominican Petroleum Refinery.
