37-year old Al Horford established himself as a basketball legend in Boston. The Boston Celtics made the finals on 15 May 2024 in the game led by the former Dominican national team player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boston Herald reported on Horford\u2019s performance: \u201cHe became the first player in NBA postseason history to rack up 20 points, 15 boards, five threes and three blocks in a single game. He\u2019s the third-oldest to notch a 20-point, 15-rebound, five-assist playoff game, trailing only LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Celtics clinched the slot in the NBA Eastern Conference finals in the sensational game that ended 113-98.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sports press focused on what was described as \u201cthe monstrous performance\u201d by Al Horford made the difference in the winning of the playoff slot. Horford had his father and family, former Dominican Republic Miss Universe Amelia Vega and five children watching the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After his final 3-pointer put Boston up 17 with less than a minute remaining, Horford left the court to a standing ovation to the man who injected the energy the team needed to win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHis performance, his energy, his leadership tonight was crucial,\u201d fellow teammate Jayson Tatum told the Boston Herald. Tatum scored 25 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists in the winning game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boston will now play the Indiana Pacers for the Eastern Conference. These are the third straight Conference finals for the third Boston Celtics, and the team\u2019s sixth time in the past eight years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
