Four Dominican universities are included in the top 15 ranking score for the QS World University Ranking for the Caribbean region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dominican universities are the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Santo Domingo (Intec), Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and the state-owned Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Santo Domingo (UASD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Caribbean universities ranked by their overall Latin Rank in QS World University Ranking are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is the third consecutive year the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Santo Domingo (Intec) maintains its position as the top university in the Dominican Republic, according to the QS World University Rankings. A press release from Intec says the ranking reflects the solidifying of the university\u2019s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and preparing market-ready professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Intec attributes the ranking to its unwavering dedication to research, as evidenced by its high citation average, publishing 185 papers, garnering 1,701 net citations, and accumulating 2,720 normalized citations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The press release highlights the higher learning center\u2019s commitment to quality is further validated by its international accreditations. Intec boasts the first internationally accredited medical program in the country granted by CAMP-HP, while its business and economics programs hold IACBE accreditation. Additionally, Intec’s psychology program is the only one in the nation to receive international accreditation from the National Council for Teaching and Research in Psychology (CNEIP).
    Intec’s student-to-faculty ratio stands out as the most favorable among Dominican universities, with 615 faculty members catering to 5,539 students. This reflects the institution’s dedication to providing high-quality instruction and personalized learning experiences. Furthermore, Intec boasts the highest proportion of international faculty members, with 43 out of 615 professors coming from abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The exceptional performance of Intec graduates in the job market is another testament to the university’s success. According to the university’s annual employability survey, an impressive 98% of Intec graduates secure employment upon graduation, with this figure reaching 100% for engineering graduates. This marks Intec graduates as those of the highest employability rate among Dominican universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 21st QS World University Rankings analyzes 5,663 institutions across 106 countries and is the only ranking of its kind that emphasizes employability and sustainability. The results are based on the analysis of 17.5 million academic papers and the opinions of over 240,000 academics, employers, and faculty members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
