Hepatology is the branch of medicine that looks at prevention, diagnosis and management of diseases that affect the liver, gall bladder, bile ducts and pancreas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liver problems are a growing issue around the world, with conditions like cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, and hepatitis affecting the lives of thousands of Dominicans every year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Brigida Navarro, who directs the HOMS Center for Digestive Studies, announced that the unit is born to prevent and manage liver illnesses using top-notch technology.
