The country&#8217;s Defense and Public Health departments have taken several measures to control the entry of the disease from Haiti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on the issue during the weekly press conference on 22 July 2024, President Luis Abinader explained there are no health statistics in Haiti as that country\u2019s public health system is collapsed.
