The Dominican OIympic Committee reports on the outstanding performance of shooter Eduardo Lorenzo in the men\u2019s trap events in the Paris Olympics. Lorenzo secured a spot in the top three after his first competition day. He shattered 23 out of 25 targets in the first round and then had a perfect score of 25 in each of the subsequent two rounds. He then ended day 2 with 119 points, behind the competitors from China, UK and Sweden who are tied in first place with 123 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dominican marksman has showcased exceptional precision. Lorenzo will continue his quest for a medal on Tuesday, 30 July 2024 as he competes in the second and final round of qualification. This is Lorenzo’s second Olympic Games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominican swimmer Elizabeth Jimenez swam for a time of 1:04.99 in the 100 m backstroke in the Olympic Games. She was seventh in her qualifying heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boxer Maria Moronta failed to advance in her first bout in the Paris Olympics. She lost to Chen Nien Chin of Taiwan 4-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
