The 11th Edition of the PhotoImagen art exhibition opened on Thursday, 22 August 2024 at the Modern Art Museum. The Modern Art Museum is now transformed into a hub of creativity and photographic talent, a celebration of photographic art and video that promises to continue making a significant impact on the cultural landscape. The public is invited to enjoy the exhibitions and celebrate the talent of the participating artists. The exhibitions will run until mid-October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibitions showcase a profound and diverse perspective on contemporary photography were unveiled. Notable among them are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Here and There: Winston Vargas portrays the Dominican community in Washington Heights (1960-2023)” – Curated by Carlos Acero Ruiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Jenny Polanco. Flashback” – Curated by Orlando Isaac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Dominican Photography Groups: A Century in Images” – Curated by Carlos Acero Ruiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Olivia and the Clouds” – Tom\u00e1s Pichardo – Curated by Luis Graham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Representation and Identity” – Ren\u00e9 Pe\u00f1a & Marta Mar\u00eda P\u00e9rez Bravo – Curated by Carlos Acero Ruiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this, the 11th edition of Photoimagen 2024 was officially inaugurated,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
