The Metropolitan Bus Service Operator (OMSA) buses are back on regular routes to service students at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) public university. The bus service also is popular with students of the O&M and UniCaribe universities located in the Centro de los Heroes and nearby Malecon stretch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release, the transportation company says the five routes in Santo Domingo and one in Santiago will operate from 6pm to 11pm to get students to universities and back safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These six routes address the transportation needs of thousands of university students who require affordable and safe transportation for their nightly commutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The established routes are as follows:
\u2022 UASD-Boca Chica: Travels along the Malec\u00f3n, takes Las Am\u00e9ricas Avenue, and ends at Valiente.
\u2022 UASD-Pantoja: Travels along Tiradentes Avenue and John F. Kennedy Avenue.
\u2022 UASD-San Isidro: Takes Jos\u00e9 Contreras Avenue, M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez Avenue, and John F. Kennedy Avenue to San Isidro.
\u2022 UASD-Los Alcarrizos: Travels along Dr. Bernardo Correa y Cidr\u00f3n Avenue, descends Italia Avenue towards O&M, takes the Malec\u00f3n, stops at Unicaribe, and takes Luper\u00f3n Avenue to Los Alcarrizos.
\u2022 UASD-Nigua: Follows the same route as the Los Alcarrizos route but with a final destination in Nigua.
\u2022 Santiago: UASD-Cienfuegos: Departs from the UASD headquarters in Santiago, passes through Villa Ol\u00edmpica, the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA), and the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher (PUCMM) to Cienfuegos.
All five Santo Domingo routes depart from the vicinity of the UASD cafeteria, benefiting students from O&M and Unicaribe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
