Energ\u00eda 2000 announces it is connecting the first segment of its 345 kV transmission line in October 2024 to the electrical grid, as reported in Diario Libre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new power line will traverse the provinces of Montecristi, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, Valverde, and Santiago, connecting the Pepillo Salcedo and Guayub\u00edn substations. This 128-kilometer, double-circuit line will feature 322 towers and is engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions, including winds up to 230 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transmission line will interconnect the natural gas-powered generation facilities (Central Gas Natural Manzanillo Power Land) under construction in Manzanillo and other energy projects in Montecristi with the National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI) to help meet the growing energy demand and optimize electricity distribution from the north to the central Cibao region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported, Energ\u00eda 2000 has partnered with the government-owned Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED) to construct this strategic line, which will connect the Manzanillo Power Land plant to the Guayub\u00edn and El Naranjo substations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has emphasized its commitment to environmental sustainability, implementing practices to protect natural resources and minimize ecological impacts. This project is expected to not only enhance the stability of the electrical transmission system but also stimulate industrial and population growth in the beneficiary provinces, ensuring a reliable and competitive energy supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Energia 2000 is also the builder of the Manzanillo Power Land generation central with capacity for 414 MW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
