A contingent of 21 Dominicans are playing in the Major League Baseball Divisional Series, El Dia reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best-of-five series is played between Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians, and Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees in the American League. In the National League, San Diego faces the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies play the Mets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominicans in the playoffs:
Cleveland Guardians: Jose Ram\u00edrez, Emmanuel Clase, Jhonkensy Noel and \u00c1ngel Mart\u00ednez. Ram\u00edrez and Clase have enjoyed exceptional seasons, placing them in the running for the American League MVP and Cy Young awards, respectively.
New York Yankees: Juan Soto, who forms a formidable duo with captain Aaron Judge, is a key player. Catcher Austin Wells and right-hander Luis Gil, both strong contenders for Rookie of the Year, will also be looking to make their mark. The promising Jasson Dom\u00ednguez is another Dominican player poised to contribute.
Detroit Tigers: Rookie Wenceel P\u00e9rez has shown great promise.
San Diego Padres: The Padres rely heavily on Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr., while left-hander Wandy Peralta is a valuable asset in the bullpen.
Los Angeles Dodgers: Power-hitting Te\u00f3scar Hern\u00e1ndez.
New York Mets: Luis Severino, Starling Marte, Mark Vientos, and Hu\u00e1scar Brazob\u00e1n.
Philadelphia Phillies: Cristopher S\u00e1nchez and Johan Rojas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kansas City is the only team without Dominican players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
