This exercise aims to prepare the Dominican population for a potential seismic event and promote the adoption of appropriate safety measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The drill will involve practicing emergency plans, protocols, and evacuation procedures at the family, business, and institutional levels. The goal is to enhance overall preparedness and response capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COE director Juan Manuel M\u00e9ndez Garc\u00eda encouraged citizens to participate in the drill by registering on the agency&#8217;s website: www.coe.gob.do. &#8220;We invite you to practice your family emergency plan and evacuation routes at home, work, school, shopping malls, or wherever you may be,&#8221; M\u00e9ndez Garc\u00eda stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the COE is urging the public to download guidelines on what to do before, during, and after an earthquake, as well as a guide for creating emergency plans. These resources are available on the agency&#8217;s website and social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be the fourth time that the COE has organized this type of drill.
