Noticias SIN reports that a wave of shock and grief has swept through the Dominican Republic following the tragic death of popular social media influencer and his newlywed wife, Johanna V\u00e9lez. The couple was killed in a motorcycle accident early Monday, 14 October 2024 in the community of Lavapi\u00e9s, San Cristobal, about half an hour from the capital city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabrera was known as \u201cEl de los videos”. His wife 23-year-old V\u00e9lez was reportedly expecting a child, news that had brought immense joy to the couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accident occurred around 3am when a four-wheel vehicle collided with the couple\u2019s motorcycle. Despite the efforts of neighbors to provide immediate assistance, Cabrera and V\u00e9lez died of injuries at the scene. Their bodies remained at the crash site until late morning, awaiting the arrival of forensic investigators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00e9lez\u2019s mother, Karina V\u00e9lez, expressed her profound sorrow, revealing that her daughter had suspected she was pregnant but had not yet confirmed the news. \u201cThey took my heart,\u201d she lamented, her voice filled with anguish, Noticias SIN reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the community mourns the loss of this beloved couple, calls for justice have grown louder. Family members and friends are demanding a thorough investigation into the accident and are urging authorities to hold those responsible accountable.
